Gallery 1810
First Friday, in the Kansas City Crossroads
October 3rd, 2008 was my first solo-show and my first show in Kansas City, I'd had work shown in other cities over the years and even been part of a three person show in Breckenridge, Colorado a few years back but never before a solo and I have to say, I LOVED IT! The show was a First Fridays event at Gallery 1810 in the Crossroads. Turnout was surprisingly larger than I had expected for a gallery well off the beaten path and the work seemed to be very well received. The paintings I showed was my "Strokes, Scrapes and Dots Series" which consisted of about fifteen paintings. A quick thanks to family and friends that turned out (I feel as if many of you share in my pursuit and in turn played fairly major roles in getting me to the place I seem to be now) and a HUGE thanks to those collectors and and art lovers that had never heard of me, nor seen my work, but took the time to express your thoughts of my work and ask about my process. And Erin, short of painting the paintings, you made this show what it was...
The local First Friday events will be slowing down a bit over the next couple months as the Kansas City weather becomes frigid. I'm planning on having some pieces in some galleries around town but am already hard at work on my next series; "The Absinthe Paintings" and hope to announce a local solo showing before the end of the year for Spring/Summer 2009. Hope to see you all there. – Clint
Here's some shots from the show:

The Bean posing under "Three Weeks..." at 1810.

These paintings are actually rather large but the walls at 1810 were HUGE.

It's not to tough to see which one is my offspring.

The Cool Guy keeping things straight.

Fellow artists Katrina and Hank caught in a shot with me at 1810.

The only short wall in the gallery.

Caught in conversation with local poet & writer, Jesse Hall.
